Auntie Rover they were known as. A more fitting phrase was "poor man's Rolls Royce". My experience of not being able to hear the engine running (no I'm not deaf), led me on numerous occasions to turn the ignition key again, it was certainly a luxurious motor car. The only regret I have was not getting the Coupe version, but a picture is included here (both courtesy of my ageing original workshop manual).
